I love to bike and i need to lose weight. I would get a regular bike but i live in the middle of nowhere and the roads are not that safe to ride with a bike. So would it be a good idea to get an exercise bike? Would it help to lose weight when combined with other exercises??

I absolutley love my exercise bike!! It is a York c301 Diamond and cost me $650 on sale. It has many different programs and I have it set up in a room with a tv right infront of it. Whenever i am bored, looking for something to do or feel like exercising safely, I jump on the bike. I love it and would highly recommend it. The seat is big and comfy and it has an electronic screen that records, calories, speed and distance.
It has been the best money ever spent.
