Im a very active fit person, although Im super busy too, sometimes I only get to work out at night. I cant afford the gym. Can someone help me make a decision on purchasing an inexpensive bike that will keep me in shape?is it worth it?
Thank you for your time & help:)
Answer
Until you are sure I would just buy a used one from the local Ebay or Craig's list. People buy those things all of the time and use them for a couple of weeks or for only 10 min a day because they are so boring time actually stops when you are using one. You would be better off with a real bicycle and a trainer to put it on when the weather turns bad. You want to get a heart rate monitor to help you stay in the correct zone. I usually start out with a very easy 10 min warm up. After the warm up you want to pedal at a high cadence 70-90 rpm's with a lite pedal pressure. That will allow you to use your slow twitch muscles that use fat as a fuel and can go for a very long time. It's also very good for your cardiovascular system.
Find a good deal used, if you don't like it you can resell it at a small or no loss. If you are not sure if it's a good quality stationary bike check Amazon for reviews on it.
